Mimaki launching two new UV flatbed printers at Viscom Paris

Digital printer manufacturer Mimaki will be launching two latest generation UV flatbed printers that feature superior productivity, print quality, flexibility, and speed than the current Mimaki models. The new printers, the UJF-3042 MkII and the UJF-6042 MkII, will be showcased at Viscom Paris, which runs September 6-8 in Paris at stand G33.

The UJF-3042 MkII prints at maximum speeds of 2.48 sq. metre per hour, while the UJF-6042 MkII prints at 3.52 sq. metre per hour, thereby delivering a 20 per cent improvement in speed over current Mimaki models.

Both the machines have advanced mechanical functionality with a print table that moves during printing to reduce printer vibration, deliver precise dot placement and enable high quality printing on a wide range of objects and materials.

According to Mimaki, they deliver a worry-free operation with automatic detection and cleaning of clogged nozzles, substituting good nozzles for printing during this process.

“This allows constant printing and reduces waste due to defective nozzles and at the same time the Mimaki Circulation Technology (MCT) circulates white inks at regular intervals to prevent pigment sedimentation that can lead to nozzle malfunction,” the company explained. (AR)
