2006 winter-spring knitting classes will be held at Kaleidoscope Yarns.

Kaleidoscope Yarns is an online knitting yarn supplier. If Kaleidoscope Yarns cancels the class for any reason, it will refund the deposit. Classes may be postponed and rescheduled due to weather conditions.

Basic Hats
Knitting a hat is a quick and easy project for those of you with a short attention span or not a lot of time to knit. We will cover lots of variations on a basic hat pattern and learn how to measure head size and do a gauge test to ensure correct sizing each time. Prerequisites: casting on, binding off, knitting and purling. Cost $25. Meets two Saturdays: 1/28 & 2/11, from 10:45am-12:15pm.

Beginner Knitting
Become a knitter in just one class! Learn how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Supplies: We supply yarn and needles, or you may bring a size 7 or 8 US needle and worsted weight yarn from home. Prerequisites: none. Cost $25. Choose ONE of the following Saturday afternoon sessions from 1pm-4pm: 1/21, 1/28 or 2/11; or Saturday morning sessions from 9am-12pm: 3/4 or 3/18.

Beginnings & Endings – Adv.Beginner
Confused by cast ons? Baffled by bind offs? In this class we will review the basics and learn some new techniques as well, including long-tail, knitted, cable, crochet and provisional cast ons, as well as binding off in purling, in ribbing and the three needle bind off. Prerequisites: casting on, binding off, knitting and purling. Cost $15. Choose ONE of the following two sessions: Friday 1/27 from 9-11am, or Wednesday 2/22 from 11:15am-1:15pm.
