The organizer of Mode Shanghai announces to start officially “The Peach Girl” into fashion by Mode Shanghai, a creative crossover works of illustrators, fabric manufacturers and fashion designers, from Europe, Asia as well from China.
“The Peach Girl” into fashion by Mode Shanghai is specially planed to celebrate in coming March 2012, the 80th anniversary of "The Peach Girl" the most successful and representative film in Chinese cine-art, which was produced in Shanghai and simultaneously released in 1932 throughout all major cities in Asia: Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong etc.
“The organizer wish to spread over the world the rich history of Shanghai's modern art of 1930's, via today's fashion creation, and to remind Shanghai had been the hub of Asia in 1930's so called "Paris in Asia, which is today the anchor of Mode Shanghai as ¨Fashion Hub of Asia?.
Some key images of the film "The Peach Girl" will be re-created into Pop-art style, from which some luxurious trendy fabric will be produced through digital printing technology.
The designer's group selected from Europe, Asia and China, create the fashion collections using their expertise, imagination, and talent in form of apparel, bag, shoes etc. After the completion of creation, the jury committee will evaluate each collection by their creativity and functionality.
The utive committee for this project is formed by Mr. Du Shuang Xin as President, Mr. James Lee and Ms. Ge Jin as co-project managers, and Ms Jiang Rui as project coordinator, and will accomplish this crossover project, realizing and melting into Mode Shanghai 2012, Shanghai Fashion Week 2012 and Premium Fabric Shanghai 2012.
The achievement will be announced and award the prize during the opening ceremony of Shanghai Fashion Culture Festival 2012(Mode Shanghai 2012 and of Shanghai Fashion Week 2012) and the catwalk show of full collections created by the participants will be followed during this ceremony. The overall process will be followed as:
Stage 1: Graphic design and Fabric production Stage 2: Designer…s group selection Stage 3: Creation of collections Stage 4: Completion of collections and evaluation Stage 5: Announcement of result and Awards Stage 6: Catwalk Show and Exposition during Mode Shanghai 2012 Stage 7: Afterward of Mode Shanghai 2012, the collections may be exhibited in downtown of Shanghai or other places such as shopping centers, department stores, museum, etc.
