Mitsubishi Kashima propylene plant No-1 to go offstream

Mitsubishi Chemicals which has been running its propylene plant No-1 at low capacity rates has decided to undertake maintenance shutdown of the plant.
“We will undertake maintenance shutdown of our Kashima propylene plant No-1, which has been running at low capacity rates, due to a slowdown in demand, a Mitsubishi official told fibre2fashion.
He further revealed that the propylene plant, which has been running at 80 percent capacity rates, will be taken off-stream during May-June 2012 for a period of one month.
The Kashima propylene plant No-1 has a production capacity of 170,000 tons per annum.
