Benzene & CPL prices gain in last fortnight

Benzene price closed with considerable gain after the rise and fall in the period between January 15 and 31.
In the beginning of the fortnight, market sentiment was optimistic as downstream buyers actively participated in the market.
In the second half of the fortnight, benzene prices opened at higher level. By the end of the fortnight, there was a technical decline in prices.
According to market experts, this high price trend is expected to continue in near future as downstream users continue to replace inventories.
In the same fortnight, caprolactam (CPL) price increased in the global market on the back of favorable market fundamentals.
Buyers were not in hurry to make stockpiles during the Chinese New Year holidays, due to which overall trading volume declined in market, which affected the CPL price.
In the second half of the last fortnight, trading volume was moderate and in relatively smaller value and volumes, with much actual negotiations.
