Clothing & footwear register lower prices, Dec 2005

The total price growth in this year was influenced the most by housing, water, electricity, gas and other (0.9 percentage point), transport, and recreation and culture (0.3 point), while lower prices of clothing and footwear pushed the inflation rate down by 0.2 point.
In 2005 too prices of services grew faster than prices of goods; however, the difference was much smaller than a year before. Compared to December 2004, in December 2005 services were on average 3 percent more expensive while prices of goods grew by 2 percent.
