The release of the second harvest list which entails duty-free exports of Taiwanese goods to China is expected to tremendously benefit the Taiwan textile and garment industry.
Under the cross-strait ECFA agreement between Mainland China and Taiwan, the recently released early harvest list for exports of Taiwanese goods covers more than 140 items in the textile sector.
The list includes polyester fabrics, innerwear items, women's vests made from synthetic fibres and many other textile products.
It is expected that Taiwanese garment manufacturers will be significantly benefited from the tax cuts.
