The global offer presented by Première Vision Pluriel demonstrates its strength by once again this season bringing together over 55,000 fashion industry professionals at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte. In a European climate already suffering from a fall in domestic consumption, Première Vision Pluriel in Paris wins over markets thanks to an offer focused on quality and creativity. Some 1,550 exhibitors met the demand coming in particular from markets outside of Europe on the hunt for strong added-value.

With 287 exhibitors and 12,237 visitors - up 8% compared with February 2011 - the 22nd edition of the LE CUIR A PARIS show closed on a positive note. This growth was accompanied by an increased presence from the leading countries in terms of creativity in leather: + 22% for Italy, + 4% for France, + 27% for Spain and + 30% for Turkey.

The show strengthened its position with the new area called Bespoke by LE CUIR A PARIS. For its inaugural edition it welcomed 9 companies offering applications on leather using either traditional or innovative techniques for the creation of bespoke items.

Exhibitors were delighted with the contacts made with the big fashion and luxury names as well as leading players from the interior design sector.

At the heart of the show, the Trend Gallery tells us a tale of Love in five stages for Summer 2013. During the Early Days, surfaces are calm, transparent, matt and iridescent, cleverly pleated, soft and light, enhanced with whitened tones and subtle pastels.

In search of Idyll, there is joyful woven straw and colourful leathers, floral laser cut-outs, watercolour highlights for vivid and intense tones. In the grip of a Frenzy, furs are ruffled, prints are quirky, and a palette of neons blends with intense blacks. The Classics hold no fear! In the midst of Repetition the beautiful traditional grains and perfect qualities are shown in the range of essential colours. We are looking for a Quarrel to demonstrate the shamanic power of the wild and raw: black as night and more-than-dark brown for buffalo and bull grains, and patinated, burned vegetable leather.

The IFM exhibition showcased the clothing and accessories of 18 international students designed in partnership with some of the leading fashion houses and the tanneries exhibiting at the show: Atlantic Leather, Bodin Joyeux, Bonaudo, Curtidos Badia, Novalpina, Poulain Peausserie, Propeaux, Riba Guixa and Tanneries Haas.
