Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong province of East China, will host the 16th Qingdao International Textile and Garment Export Fair in April this year.
The fair is being sponsored by the provincial Shandong government and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
The three-day fair scheduled to begin from April 28, 2012, will have a 50,000 sq m of exhibition area, which will be divided into five separate zones for display of menswear, womenswear, kidswear, jeans and other items.
Besides the showcase of clothing items, a dozen lectures are also planned during the event.
The fair is expected to attract over 1,200 buyers, of which more than 70 are likely to be big purchasers like IKEA, Carrefour, OTTO, Metro (MGB) and Wal-Mart.
