A fashion event “Colour Denim Fashion Parade” was held in Karachi along side Textile Asia, an international textile and machinery exhibition.

The fashion show featured creations of well-known designers Syed Rizwanullah and Adnan Pardesy. It also showcased designs by Hasina Khanani and students of Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP).

Syed Rizwanullah experimented with black denim, on which he used fabric paints and embellished them with nail pins and beads. The designs made by fabric paint included faces of women and a silhouette of a woman.

Creations of fashion designer Adnan Pardesy had both oriental and western influences. He presented flowy, colourful shirts with pleated skinny jeans, and a variant of long overcoats and short jackets.

Emerging designer Hasina Khanani displayed a western wear collection for women, which included a poncho-styled shirt. Her male collection consisted of torn vests, dyed denim pants and large black hats.

Three TIP students – Sehar Munir, Faryal Leghari and Osama Bin Ahmed – showcased outfits in vibrant colours that included funky tie-dye shirts paired with jeans.
