Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW), the premier fashion and style event in the Caribbean, will be held in the island nation of Jamaica from June 7-11 this year.

A number of new features are planned to be incorporated in CFW 2012. In addition to display of creations by well-known Caribbean designers, the event is expected to see participation of some of the most recognizable faces in modeling.

CFW 2012 was promoted among the international fashion community during the London Fashion Week held in UK last month. A CFW feature was included in the Look Book for the Caribbean Collections unveiled by Caribbean Development Agency, run by Mr. Kingsley Cooper, head of Pulse.

Several designers who participated in London Fashion Week are likely to present their collections at CFW 2012. Few designers from the UK including Gavin Douglas and Jhaniel Smith have already confirmed their participation in CFW.

Besides, several designers from Africa and Europe have either confirmed their participation or evinced keen interest in participation. These include Federico Poletti of Vogue Italia, Stefan Seigal of Not Just a Label, Regina Jere-Malanda of New African Woman, and Giorgia Catarini of Italian Glamour.
