Qatar's naphtha production will increase as the country plans to start naphtha production at the second condensate splitter in Ras Laffan Industrial City, situated along the northeast coast of Qatar, in the first quarter of 2016.
At present, Qatar produces around 7 to 8 million tons per year of naphtha and this will increase to 10 million tons per year when production begins at the second condensate splitter, Abdulla al-Naemi, Marketing Director of refined products at Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Co (Tasweeq), said while speaking at the Condensate and Naphtha Forum in Malaysia.
He said Qatar plans to begin naphtha production at the second condensate splitter in the first quarter of 2016.
