The China International Textile Fabrics and Accessories Exhibition witnessed attendance of 95 top Italian textile and clothing producers.
The Italians had taken over nearly 3,000 sq metres of the 5,000 sq metres reserved for the European pavilion.
On display at the booths of Italian textile exhibitors were high-end fabrics made from wool and other fibres.
At the Italian clothing booths, the latest 2012-13 fashion trendy apparels were on display. It may be noted here that the luxury goods market in China, is the fastest growing in the world.
Silvio Albini one of the senior most official in the Italian team said, “China is the second largest market for Italian textiles. It is a complex, but rapidly growing market."
China accounted for 47.4 percent of worldwide Italian worsted wool textiles exports, while exports of carded wool textiles accounted for 16.6 percent.
