A Nafta company official informed fibre2fashion, that the Methanol plant had been shutdown on July 16, 2010 and has not been restarted till date.
Providing reasons for the same, he said, “We shut down the plant due to poor demand trends in the domestic market and also because of high price of natural gas”.
The production capacity of the methanol plant is 150,000 tons per year.
