Aiming to present the country’s designing expertise before the world, six fashion designers from Taiwan are showcasing their creativity at the ongoing New York Fashion Week, the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) has said.
The six Taiwanese designers showcasing their collections at the joint exhibition named "Still Fashion Presentation" include Fala Chien, Andre Kao, Sun Yu-hong, Hsu Chiu-i and Fan Jin-ruei.
Fala Chien, originator of brands “Fala by Fala Chien” and “Play with Fala” is showcasing her works flaunting different images of women, while Eve Lin, who organized a successful exhibition in London in 2010, also launched her first menswear line at the event, the federation that led the designers to New York said.
Designer Andre Kao is showcasing his collection featuring Taiwan’s aboriginal, contemporary and pop cultures.
Likewise, Sun Yu-hong, Hsu Chiu-i and Fan Jin-ruei, whom Elle magazine named as one of the most exciting upcoming designer in 2012, are also showcasing their collection at the event.
The six designers would also display their works at the “Moda Manhattan 2013 Spring Collection” to be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from September 19-21, TTF said.
