Fiji's Aisea Konrote to feature at Australia Fashion Week

Fijian fashion designer Aisea Konrote is looking forward to an education-filled trip to Australia where he is going to showcase his collection at the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA).
The designer, who had won this trip as part of his Fiji Fashion Week Best Established Designer Award, hopes to acquire knowledge on the nitty gritties of fashion show planning, time management, sponsorships, colours and fabrics from the participants of the high-profile event.
Konrote’s collection, to be featured at MBFWA, will include a strong island like Fijian feel with an added touch of his personal signature styles. Based on oceanic shades of blue, green and aquamarine, the ensembles will be decorated with shells, according to Fiji Times.
The prolific designer, hailing from Tuoi in Juju, Rotuma, is currently the director of Hefrani Designs & Creations brand.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia is scheduled to take place from April 8 to 12, 2013 in Sydney.
