Leading paperboards and specialty papers producer ITC announced launching of a new plan “Partnering for global success.”
K. I. Vishwanathan, Marketing Head, ITC Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division (PSPD), informed that the textile industry utilizes paperboards for several purposes such as tags, cartons, photocards and inserts.
The plan would also be launched in various parts of the country such as Bangalore, Ludhiana and Delhi, he added.
The consumption of value-added paper in Indian textile exports is presently around 3,600 tonnes per year. It is expected that the consumption will also rise with the textile exports from the country. The new plan “Partnering for global success” by the company targets to work with the export industry to meet this requirement.
PSPD has established a devoted unit in Tirupur to work with exporters. It would frequently communicate with the end users of the products and the printers to give solutions. The unit is already in touch with nearly 300 printers.
Unit will set up infrastructure to make available all the products to fulfill the requirements of consumers.
