3rd International Cotton Conference in Tashkent on May 24-25, 2005

An international cotton conference will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on May 24-25, 2005 in the Intercontinental Tashkent Hotel.
The Government of Uzbekistan and the ICAC are organizing the conference in cooperation with Cotlook Limited and the International Textile Manufacturers Federation. Preparations for the conference are on schedule with about 250 foreign guests, including 14 speakers, registered as of mid-May. The Executive Director, Dr. Terry Townsend and the Economist, Mr. Andrei Guitchounts, will represent the ICAC at the conference.
The conference will be complemented by an international exhibition for cotton and silk industries in Central Asia: “Cotton & Silk World 2005” held on May 25-27, 2005.
The Conference Organizing Committee at the Agency for Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan has arranged for transportation for the participants from the international airport to hotels in Tashkent.

The International Cotton Advisory Committee is an association of 41 governments of countries with an interest in cotton. The Secretariat of the Committee publishes information related to world cotton production, supply, demand and prices, and provides technical information on cotton production technology.
