Textile & garment have a big say in industrial production value

Production value of Vietnamese industries reaches VND 37,850 billion in February 2006.
This is a 17.66 percent down from January level; however it is increased by 23.7 percent over the corresponding period of 2005, informs Ministry of Planning and Investment.
From the total 21 sectors in country, textile and garment are ranked at the sixth place with 22.4 percent.
Contributing to such high growth rate of textile and garment, production of silk, knitwear and readymade clothes make up the biggest part as the increase from same period in 2005 is 23.2 percent, 24.4 percent and 39.3 percent respectively.
