Nha Trang Textile Company conducts auction of its shares

Nha Trang Textile Company (Nhatexco) sold nearly 9 million shares at Ho Chi Minh Securities Center at VND 11,500 (about US $ 0.7) on March 15, 2006, whereas the bid price is claimed at VND10,010 (about US$ 0.6).
About 33 investors participated in the auction, and who bought approximately 9 million shares worth VND 88.42 billion (equivalent to US$ 5.56 million).
Nhatexco, a Vinatex Group Company, was established in 1979 and began operations in 1982 with help from Japan.
The company has charter capital of VND 185 billion (about US $11.6 million), operates 7 textile plants, one sister unit and two branches at Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Nhatexco produces textiles and garments, trades in fibres and fabric and also has interests in hotel and tourism.
