The well-known local firm Custo Barcelona closed Wednesday evening the third day at the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk unveiling their collection “Before New York”. The Catalan brand - one of the most well known internationally – wanted to give a sneak preview in Barcelona at part of the collection for the Spring-Summer season 2014 that will be officially presented next September during New York Fashion Week.

The designer Juan Pedro López, opened the afternoon session on the catwalk with his collection “Part XV”. A highly sophisticated creation evoking dusk on the Island of Santorini using silhouettes, patterns and volumes derived from Greek folklore.

Playing with transparencies, textures, shininess and images, the creator suggests a sophisticated look for the woman who is chic and smart. The collection hinges on black, white and the fresh mauve of a flower, with a profusion of glitter, that the designer applies equally to dresses, as to overcoats, trousers and even to bathwear.

Celia Vela seized the baton from Juan Pedro López Wednesday afternoon at the 080 catwalk to present her collection for the Spring-Summer season 2014.

Her creations that have famously always been characterized by a style influenced greatly by Japan - she currently has a showroom in Tokyo – has on this occasion been inspired by a personal occurrence: a dream that her daughter Mila had which featured three fairies.

From this starting-point, Vela has designed an ultra-feminine collection which expresses itself by building on white, turquoise, red and gold, with shimmering fabrics, satins and chiffon, very see-through and with garments that emphasize the length of the female back by leaving it bare.

Meanwhile, the firm TCN showed with their creations for Spring-Summer. The collection revisits their brand classics and consolidates the concept “24 hours”, ranging from lingerie and corsetry, right up to homewear, for outside and bathroom range.

The starring colors are blue and metallic in all of their versions combined with a marked tendency for stripes, very fine pinstripes, TCN’s signature look for the season. For outer wear, the firm put mini-shorts in rustic and lacy cotton and laced dresses, more-feminine-than-ever.
