Davood Danesh Jaafari, Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rashid Mohammed Rashid met in Cairo.
Sources reported that Jaafari informed Rashid that Iran is now ready to develop economic, industrial and investment sectors relationship with Cairo.
Rashid said banking, textiles and shipping areas are main parts of this economic tie.
Jaafari added that Egypt based Misr-Iran Textile Company (Miratex) launched 1974, is the biggest Iranian-Egyptian joint investment. This Company is active in cotton exports and has also received Trust Certificate Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Miratex manufactures and markets textile products & ready-made knitted garments.
