In a conversation with fibre2fashion, Mr. Vasudeva Krishnamurthy, marketing manager of Lectra India, one of the leading companies in integrated technology solutions, says, “Adaption, innovation and capital are important for success of any textile, apparel or retail company in today’s competitive world.”
“As per the requirement of the market and demand, they should adapt the right strategy as well as be innovative in their approach to reduce operational cost and to improve productivity. They should invest on right capital equipments and software to achieve their business goals within the agreed timeframe,” he explains.
According to Invista, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of chemical intermediates, polymers and fibers, the most important factors for textile and apparel firms are innovation and differentiation of product.
“In an ever changing market, innovation and differentiation are what all businesses look for to stand out from their competitors. They should react quickly to market needs and provide the consumers with a constant flow of new products or solutions to problems,” a representative of Invista said in e-mail statement.
Citing an example of differentiation, the company states that its latest technology provides whiteness retention, which differentiates its products from those of its competitors.
Oxeon, a manufacturer of ultra light composites, stresses on the importance of adoption and understanding. “The most important factor is adoption and understanding how to work with ultra light composites and spread tow fabrics,” says the company representative of Oxeon.
