Beginning January 2014, a major upgrade will be made to AATCC Review, which is the flagship publication for AATCC, the Association of Textile, Apparel & Materials Professionals.

The peer-reviewed scientific articles previously published in AATCC Review will be located in a new online-only e-journal called AATCC Journal of Research. In addition, an electronic version of AATCC Review will be produced along with the current print version.

AATCC’s highly regarded features and applied technology articles will continue to be published in both the print and electronic versions of AATCC Review. Both electronic publications will be provided to AATCC members free as a member benefit (along with the print version, if the member is currently receiving a print magazine).

For authors, the major advantages in publishing with the new AATCC Journal of Research are rapid communication of scientific information with no page charges and personal attention to authors’ needs. Martin J. Bide of the University of Rhode Island will be the new journal’s Editor-In-Chief.

The launching of the new online peer review journal is the latest step in the Association’s history of providing the textile industry with award-winning publications.

“AATCC publications are renowned worldwide as a valuable and trusted source of textile industry news, features, and innovation, bringing the latest in applied technology and peer-reviewed scientific research to its members,” says Maria Thiry, Publications & Membership Director of the Association. “AATCC has published important textile-related scientific articles in AATCC Review and its predecessors since 1969.”

Library and institutional subscriptions will be offered for both the electronic publications. AATCC will also continue to offer the print version of AATCC Review (without peer reviewed papers) for those institutions that prefer a print publication.
