Methanex announces methanol October contract prices

Methanex has announced its Methanol contract prices, effective from October 1, 2013, for North America, Europe and Asia.
For the Asia-Pacific region, the contract price would be US$ 490/mt, for the period October 1-31, 2013, up from price of US$ 470/ton for September, according to the company’s website.
Similarly, for the North American region, non-discounted reference price would be US$ 1.65/Gal or US$ 549/mt, valid between October 1 and 31, 2013, up from US$ 532/mt last month.
The company has also raised its European contract price for Methanol from Euro 390/mt to Euro 408/mt for October 1-December 31, 2013 period.
Methanol is an organic chemical that is used in the textile industry in manufacturing processes.
