Exotic floor sweeping gowns, in myriad hues of pink, graced the catwalk of internationally renowned bridal wear queen Vera Wang, who showcased her autumn/winter 2014 collection at the just concluded New York International Bridal Week.

Inspired from the unforgettable Hollywood classics like ‘Funny Face’ and ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’, the New York-based couturier chose the flowery shade as the dominant theme in her latest range, decorated with giant-size flowers and bows.

Based on tones of deep fuchsia, peony, vibrant rose, salmon and coral, the softly layered pieces featured voluminous, ruffled and slinky silhouettes, enhanced with intricate vermicelli beading and floral appliqués.

In addition to Wang’s exquisite wedding gowns, the three-day-long bridalwear extravaganza also showcased an array of beautiful dresses for bridesmaids, flower girls, ceremonies and formalwear for the grooms from labels like Winnie Couture, Antonella Rossi, Casablanca Bridal, Impression Bridal, Heart of Gold and Jim’s Formal Wear Co.

Other than the glitzy runway shows, the event also organized a wedding expo, featuring a variety of wedding-related accessories from several international manufacturers, for the visitors and buyers.
