- In many competition projects, crisp colours were used in workwear design, and many of the prototypes made of the designs were very carefully finished off. The teams had paid plenty of attention to issues related to usability: new solutions were designed for the sleeve lengths of a chef's jacket and versatile pockets for aprons, among others, and accessories such as headgear and colourful ties and scarves were created to complement the collection.
Based on the competition, we are thinking over our workwear collection, and we received plenty of good ideas from the competition, says Kirsi Aaltio, Managing Director of the case company Sodexho.
Jury of the Lindström Award 2006 - Members of the jury were Kirsti Paakkanen from Marimekko, Managing Director Kirsi Aaltio from Sodexho Oy, President & CEO Giuseppe Rodinò from Klopman and President & CEO Jukka Roiha from Lindström. Professor Ann Merete Orth from Danmarks Designskole chaired the jury.
