Yarn Expo Autumn fair set new records this year

Along with the noticeable increase in the number of exhibitors this year, buyers were also satisfied with the quality of products on offer. “The fair was very good, and there were a lot of quality products on display from both domestic and overseas exhibitors.

"I’m actually considering being an exhibitor here next year,” commented Mian Asif Raze from S.S. Enterprises, Pakistan. Chinese buyer Gao Xing from Haixing Materials Technology was also happy. “We found a lot of qualified exhibitors here; I will definitely come back next year,” he said.

Chinese fashion designer Liu Ting, from Suzhou Hengjin Apparel was impressed with the new products on offer. “As a fashion designer, I was glad to see the newly launched products here. Overall, I was very impressed by the professionalism of this fair,” she said. “There were many more international exhibitors here this year,” said Eva Li from Chinese firm MP Phoebee Textile. “The fair exceeded my expectations; I will definitely be back next year.”

Spring edition to be held in Shanghai

Next year’s spring edition of Yarn Expo will take place in Shanghai rather than Beijing, and will also be renamed to Yarn Expo Zone, located within Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition from 3 – 5 March 2014 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. The move to Shanghai next spring was welcomed by exhibitors and visitors.

“Shanghai is a better location, as it has more quality buyers,” opined Asjad Khan from Master Textile Mills, Pakistan. “The Shanghai show has more buyers compared to Beijing so we will join again next year,” explained Paul Eun from Indian cotton and cotton yarn producer Hanjung Exim. Alessandra Lanfranchi, a buyer from Italian company Martinelli Ginettio attends the fair every year and also agreed with the move to Shanghai. “It is a good idea, as it will attract more suppliers,” she said.,

Yarn Expo Autumn is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; China Cotton Textile Association; China Wool Textile Association; China Chemical Fiber Association; China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association; and China Textile Information Centre.
