Aiming to highlight the glamorous 1980s glitzy fashion trends, the event titled Glamour 80s is slated to take place from February 6 to March 9, 2014.

The exhibit will feature more than 50 outfits designed by the world’s topmost labels such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Pierre Balmain, Claude Montana, Oleg Cassini, Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto.

The to-be-exhibited pieces would include an array of fluorescent coloured leggings, long sleeve dresses and leather jackets.

Born in Moscow, Alexandre Vassiliev is a widely celebrated French theatrical costume and set designer who has designed for companies like Theatre du Rond Point des Champs Elyses, the Studio of the Bastille Opera, the Lucernaire, the Cartoucherie, the Festival of Avignon, the Ballet du Nord, the Jeune Ballet de France and the Royal Opera of Versilles.

The designer is one of the world’s largest private collectors of Russian period costumes, which have been shown many times in France and several other countries.
