Samsung Total Petrochemicals Co. Ltd., a 50:50 joint venture between Samsung Group and Total S.A., has no plans for maintenance shutdown this year, and the company plans to carry out maintenance next year.

“According to the tentative schedule, the naphtha cracker is likely to be shut for maintenance by the end of April 2015, and maintenance work will be undertaken in May and the cracker will be restarted in June,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

The company last carried out the maintenance schedule at the Daesan, South Korea-based naphtha cracker in April-June 2011.
