Replete with a generous dosage of gothic chic looks, the line, created by the American brand’s co-founder siblings Nicholas and Christopher Kunz, included an array of layered pieces such as midriff tops, oversized jackets, shirts, chunky knit scarves, sweaters and low-cut pants on a palette of grey, black, and blue, along with occasional splashes of red and chocolate.

Japan-born designer Tadashi Shoji presented a very romantic eveningwear collection with ornate details on the same day of the event. Made from feminine lace, gorgeous tulle and soft velvet, the range was decorated with dazzling embellishments. Based on hues of purple, deep red and timeless black, the pieces included micro-cut suede minis, floor-length gowns and shimmering beaded bodices.

Nicky Zimmermann, the Australian fashion designer, opened the second day of the New York event with her gypsy and circus performers-inspired catwalk show. Taking cues from foreign subcultures like Beatniks, Teddy Girls and Sharpies, the line presented outerwear, suits and dresses in shades of mint blue, lilac and peach. The featured ensembles were midi-length vests, cropped pants, pouffy skirts and sheer maxis.
