Interstoff Asia to begin from Mar 19 in Hong Kong

Interstoff Asia Essential – Spring 2014, one of the leading fabric trade fairs in Asia, will return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 19 to 21 March 2014 in halls 1D & E.
 
Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd – the fair organiser – is confident the improved economic situation in the US and Europe will benefit exhibitors at the show. According to data released by the Hong Kong government, exports rose by 3.6% in 2013 compared to 2012, while they jumped 6.5% in the fourth quarter last year from the preceding three months. “We have seen the economy picking up recently. 
 
We believe this will promote more trading activity in the city, and eventually will benefit the fair as more buyers will be interested in sourcing high-end fabrics, which is a major focus at Interstoff Asia Essential,” said Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of the company.  
 
The four well-received Country and Region Pavilions – Elite China, Fine Japan, Great Korea and Amazing Taiwan – will return with a bigger scale, bringing more fashionable, functional and eco fabrics. Some of the highlighted companies in the pavilions include Wujiang Fuhua and Prostex Co Ltd from Mainland China, showcasing fancy fabrics featuring advanced woven and knitting technology, and the latest finishing applications. Moreover, a new exhibitor from Japan – Joint Bishu Brand – will feature their wool and wool-blended fabrics.
 
Co-organised by the Taiwan Textile Federation, the Taiwan Pavilion will focus on functional and eco fabrics for the high-end market. Products on display will include breathable coating and multiple-layer lamination; functional knitted and woven fabrics for sleeping bags, down jackets, and skiwear; and antimicrobial and UV-cut functional fabrics for outdoor wear and sportswear. 
 
Known for creating some of the most stylish fashion in Asia, Korean suppliers will showcase knitted and man-made fabrics for womenswear and casual wear, as well as fine functional fabrics for outdoor wear.
 
Other than the size of the four pavilions, the Garment Accessories Zone also expands in terms of numbers of exhibitors, making the product scope at the fair more complete. Some good quality accessory exhibitors participating this year are Tongxiang Yinpin Accessories Co Ltd and Shanghai Junxie Button from China.
