The third and fourth day of the ongoing Melbourne Fashion Festival (MFF) were clearly dominated by big Aussie labels which took over the runway with their glam, brightly coloured and vibrant print heavy creations.

Alex and Georgie Cleary, the brother-sister design duo behind the label Alpha 60, showcased a collection full of modern cuts and shapes as well as simplistic silhouettes. Based on a muted colour palette with bursts of cherry red, the line featured tunics, calf-length skirts, sleeveless tops and full-length dresses.

Fashion label Gorman, from the eponymous designer Lisa Gorman, opted for a brighter and cheerful palette for the Winter Harvest collection. Decorated with large motifs of seasonal veggies like eggplant, beetroot and broccoli, the range included deep forest green sweaters and maroon pullovers.

Bianca Spender once again showcased her expertise in blending structural forms with fluidity in her signature sophisticated looks displayed on the fourth day of Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. The line consisted geometrical slit dresses, zippered blouses, black leather peplums and fitted skirts.
