PTA prices inch up in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices moved up and were offered in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1185/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton.

PTA prices moved up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were offered at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices inched up and were quoted in the range of RMB 6350/ton to RMB 6400/ton.

Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1220/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.

MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained stable at US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.

In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton, and some deals were assessed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were assessed between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8700/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.

PSF prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1475/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1375/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 8600/ton to RMB 8675/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept steady and were offered at RMB 8875/ton, RMB 10800/ton and RMB 9450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1190/ton, US$ 1455/ton, and US$ 1260/ton, respectively.
