Elections of various position at the Istanbul Textile Exporters' Association were held yesterday.
Two major factions participated in the elections with the faction led by Gülle Textile Chief Executive, Ýsmail Gülle got elected for various post as Executive Directors for a term of 2 years.
Celebrating its 31st year of existence this year as one of the oldest Exporters' Unions, Istanbul Textile Exporters' Association held its Annual General Meeting at Foreign Trade Complex.
Opposing group under the "change group" led by Mehmet Damar who got 191 of the votes at the election while Ýsmail Gülle Group bagged 498 votes.
Soon after the announcement of election results, President Ýsmail Gulle stated they will work towards realizing and exploiting full potential of the textiles sector during their 3 years term of office.
He adds, “From now on, we will open our mind and heart to the opinions of our friends. The members have reposed confidence in us and we have a 2 years of task ahead."
He assured that "best things will be done!"
