Tandy Leather opens retail stores in San Mateo & Amarillo

Leading leather company Tandy Leather Factory Inc announced it is opening retail stores in San Mateo, CA and Amarillo, TX. Both will operate as Tandy Leather stores. The San Mateo store opened last week and the Amarillo store is expected to open this week. These are the third and fourth retail stores opened in 2005 and will bring the total number of Tandy Leather retail stores to 46.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Wray Thompson, commented, "They're on pace with our 2005 expansion plan and expect both of these stores to be solid contributors. Miguel Daciuk, a veteran Tandy Leather store manager of more than 20 years, has been hired as store manager of the San Mateo store. Scott Seethoff, who has managed our Leather Factory store in New Orleans for the past five years, will manage the Amarillo store."
Texas based Tandy Leather Factory Inc is a specialty retailer and wholesale distributor of a broad product line including leather, leatherworking tools, buckles and adornments for belts, leather dyes and finishes, saddle and tack hardware, and do-it-yourself kits. The Company distributes its products as The Leather Factory through its wholesale distribution centers and as Tandy Leather Company through its retail stores.
