A conference was held recently to promote the province of Chaco in Argentina, as an investment destination for the textile and apparel industry.

Minister Sebastian Lifton listed the benefits and incentives available from the government to invest in the textile and garment sector of Chaco, with the objective of creating new jobs.
The minister stressed the importance of industrializing the rural areas in northeastern Argentina and also pointed out the possibilities of doing business in the region.
Sebastian Lifton said that opportunities were available across the whole textile value chain beginning from growing raw cotton to the final stage of producing a garment.
There were presentations from representatives of Pampero and Marrotex who have textile factories in Chaco. They shared their success stories and called on other entrepreneurs to join the initiative to develop the textile value chain in Chaco.
The conference which was held with support from the Ministry of Industry, witnessed participation of textile companies already operating in Chaco like TN Platex, Marrotex and Pampero and nationally recognized brands as Grisino, Ona Saez, Taverniti, Jasmine Chebar and Mistral.
