Global PX prices down this week from ample availability

Paraxylene (PX) prices headed south in global markets during this week, attributed to ample of product availability coupled with weak downstream demand in the market.
In the week ending Sept 19, PX prices declined by US$ 10/ton in S E Asian market, compared to the previous week ending Sept 12 and were quoted in the range of USD 1240 /ton to USD 1245/ton.
In F E Asian market, prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton in the current week.
FOB Rotterdam prices of PX fell by 0.42 percent this week compared to last week and were assessed in the range of US$ 1175/ton to USD 1180/ton.
In US, PX prices went down by US$ 15/ton compared to its previous week and were offered in the range of USD 1180/ton to USD 1185/ton.
