Asian ethylene trends down from weak upstream last week

Ethylene prices declined in Asia in the last week ending Oct 10, due to weak downstream and upstream product prices.

In Korea, average prices went down by US$ 30/ton and were assessed at 1480/ton last week, as compared to its previous week, a decrease of 1.99 percent.

In Japan, average prices too fell by US$ 5/ton or 0.34 percent and were offered at US$ 1465/ton last week versus its previous week.

In S E Asia, average ethylene prices also decreased by US$ 10/ton and were quoted at US$ 1500/ton or down 0.66 percent from its previous week.

In India, average ethylene prices moved down as well by US$ 10/ton or 0.66 percent and were assessed at US$ 1500/ton last week, as compared to previous week, a decrease of 0.66 percent.
