US propylene prices dip from low demand on Oct 13

Propylene prices went down in US yesterday (Oct 13) due to lower upstream energy prices coupled with fall in demand for downstream products.

Prices were assessed at 73.15 cents/pound yesterday; lower by 0.50 cents/pound as compared to the last week’s closing levels.

Prices had showed downward trend in the last week also. Prices opened at 75.50 cents/pound in the last week beginning October 6 and declined to 73.65 cents/pound by the end of the week.
