Ethylene prices dip in US and Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1035/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton.
 
PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 810/ton to US$ 815/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 790/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 790/ton to US$ 795/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 5545/ton to RMB 5595/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1270ton to US$ 1275/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international market and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton, while prices inched up in the domestic market and were quoted at € 965/ton.
 
MEG prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 840/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 830/ton to US$ 835/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices moved down in the range of RMB 6010/ton to RMB 6060/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 8025/ton to RMB 8075/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
PSF prices went down in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1210/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1110/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dipped and were quoted in the range of RMB 8275/ton to RMB 8300/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at RMB 8750/ton, RMB 10650/ton and RMB 8800/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at US$ 1195/ton, US$ 1465/ton and US$ 1190/ton, respectively.
