First Première Vision Istanbul attracts 8,294 visitors

The first edition of Première Vision Istanbul, which took place in October, attracted 8,294 visitors, with 17% visiting the fair from overseas countries and the rest from Turkey.

Overseas visitors came from across Eastern Europe to Asia Minor, including those from, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece, and Iran and Egypt.

The trade show was jointly hosted by a new joint venture of Première Vision; a global fashion trade show organiser and CNR Holding – also a leading organiser of trade shows in Turkey.

Première Vision Istanbul also benefitted from direct support of Turkey’s two trade bodies; The Union of Uludag Exporters (UTIB) and the Istanbul Union of Textile and Raw Materials Exporters (IKTIB).

The fair brought together some 153 exhibitors, 57% from Turkey and the rest from countries like Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Portugal, Romania, etc.

The show presented a rich and diversified textile materials like; fibres, yarns, fabrics, fabric accessories, denim fabrics and side by side, also exhibited services of textile designers.

Among the Turkish textile companies which partook in the event, include the likes of Akin Tekstil, Çalik Denim, Iskur Tekstil, Sanko Tekstil and Saydam Tekstil.

Marzotto Group, Miroglio, Clerici, Seterie Argenti, Bottonificio BAP, all from Italy, Paulo de Oliveira and Riopele from Portugal, Creations Robert Vernet and Malhia Kent from France, Kindermann from Germany and Lenzing from Austria, made up for exhibitors from abroad.

Visitors were also able to get a better understanding of the season through fashion seminars presented by both, the Première Vision team and the Carlin trend bureau.

Following the successful conclusion of the first edition, the organisers now intend to hold regular editions in the years to come. (AR)
