The Winter-2015 instalment of the Latin American event Sao Paulo Fashion Week ended with exclusive catwalk shows from some of the biggest names in Brazil and the international fashion industry.

The fashion brand 2nd Floor’s Creative Director Adriana Bozon drew inspiration from Iceland for her latest presentation. Enhanced with jacquard carved landscape detailing, camouflage patterns and glittering embroidery, the collection was made using denim, fleece, knit, jersey and neoprene materials.

Acquastudio’s Esther Bauman showcased princess like full skirted garments crafted from jacquard, raffia, tulle and lace fabrics. Decorated with bugle and glass beads and golden thread embroidery, the Mining Baroque Art inspired coats, jackets and gowns were based in gold and cream tones.

Luiz Claudio of Apartment 03 took inspiration from the Akira Kurosawa-directed Soviet-Japanese film Dersu Uzala for the new line. Replete with knitting, silk, chiffon, organza, jacquard, lurex yarns and satin, the beautiful long dresses with elongated silhouettes were enhanced with a very well edited range of finishes, textures, shapes and embroidery.

The works of German-Australian photographer Helmut Newton played as muse for Wagner Kallieno’s creations. Crafted from resin denim, vinyl, grosgrain silk and canvas, the black, white and camel heavy range included sweatpants, high waist pencil skirts, short dresses with plunging necklines and long sleeve jackets.

Clothing label Llas infused elements from baroque and sports for its chic lightweight collection. Created under the aesthetic guidance of Laura Lorena Andrade and Andrade, the navy, black, white, pink and red coloured silk, gauze, linen, wool and lace made ensembles were accented with star, anchor, snake and chicken embroidery designs.
