European benzene down from lower upstream energy prices

Benzene prices went down in Europe on Thursday (Nov 13) from poor downstream demand coupled with lower upstream energy prices and fall in downstream product prices in the region.

Decline in benzene prices in Asia, also supported the price fall.

Benzene prices were assessed at US$ 1000/ton on Thursday, lower by US$ 25/ton or 2.44 per cent as compared to the prices on Wednesday (Nov 12).

Benzene prices have dropped by 9.09 per cent during the current week as compared to the prices on Monday (Nov 10).
