PX & MEG prices climb up in Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices climbed up in Asian markets. PX prices went up in SE Asia and they ranged between US$ 990 and 995 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices increased to US$ 975 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined to a range of US$ 985 to 990 per ton.
 
PTA prices remained unaffected in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed stable trend in PTA prices, which ranged between US$ 790 and 795 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices were stable at US$ 770 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged to a range of US$ 765 to 770 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were stable in a range of RMB 5545 to 5595 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained unaffected in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 1235 to 1240 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1180 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up and they ranged from 56.00 to 56.50 cents per pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international market as well as in domestic markets at US$ 1190 per ton and € 975 per ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices climbed up in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices increased to US$ 865 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and they ranged from US$ 850 to 855 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 6385 to 6435 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1125 to 1165 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1135 to 1175 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were steady in a range of US$ 1145 to 1185 per ton, while talked prices were in the range of US$ 1155 to 1195 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices decreased ranging between RMB 7925 and 7975 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1000 to 1040 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1010 to 1050 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices were stable ranging between RMB 7400 and 7450 per ton.
 
PSF prices declined in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices decreased to US$ 1185 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 1085 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable ranging between RMB 8125 and 8150 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were stable at RMB 8850 per ton, RMB 10550 per ton and RMB 8750 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were stable at US$ 1210 per ton, US$ 1445 per ton and US$ 1180 per ton, respectively.
