Polyester POY prices increase in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices climbed up in Asian markets. PX prices increased in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 1050 and 1055 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices increased to US$ 1030 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 1040 to 1045 per ton.
 
PTA prices declined in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a decrease in PTA prices ranging between US$ 795 and 800 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices plunged to US$ 780 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were stable in a range of US$ 780 to 785 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were stable in a range of RMB 5695 to 5745 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and they ranged between US$ 1210 and 1215 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1130 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up ranging between 53.00 to 53.50 cents per pound. Ethylene prices went up in the European international as well as in domestic markets to US$ 1215 per ton and € 1030 per ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained unaffected in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices were stable at US$ 905 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices were stable ranging between US$ 895 and 900 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 6750 to 6800 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1160 and 1200 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1170 to 1210 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1180 to 1220 per ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1190 to 1230 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices went up ranging between RMB 8025 to 8075 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected between US$ 1030 and 1070 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1040 to 1080 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices were stable ranging between RMB 7650 and 7700 per ton.
 
PSF prices climbed up in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices increased to US$ 1215 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices went up to US$ 1115 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased ranging between RMB 8350 and 8375 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY increased to RMB 9100 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices were stable at RMB 10750 per ton and RMB 8900 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY increased to US$ 1245 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices declined to US$ 1470 per ton and US$ 1195 per ton, respectively.
