Textile industry players have struggled to cope with several problems for more than a year, now.
However, Cem Boyner, Chief Executive, Beymen, believes that the economic crisis in the country has come to a passe, and says that positive results of the higher investments made earlier will be realised within a year or two.
Boyner explained, “Turkey is no longer a low-cost production destination. We see that many companies are choosing a trademark of their own to promote across the world. Our country is reaching the point where it will be impossible to recognize.”
Although retail prices have dropped continuously, except in April, Cem insists that many retailers met with economic success during 2006.
He fully supported those who were venturing overseas but also said that they should be patient and cautious.
Chief Executive was speaking at the Beymen's 35th anniversary meeting on Wednesday.
