Fall in downstream plunges Asian benzene on Feb 5

Fall in upstream energy prices and downstream product prices along with lower feedstock prices in the region led to Asian benzene prices plunging on Thursday (Feb 5).

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 630/ton on Thursday, lower by 5.97 per cent or US$ 40/ton as compared to prices on Wednesday.

In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 635/ton on Feb 5, also down by 5.93 per cent or US$ 40/ton as against prices on Feb 4.

In India, prices showed similar trend and were spotted at US$ 640/ton on Thursday, lower by 5.88 per cent from prices on Wednesday.
