Birla Cellulose, Control Union to focus on sustainability

Birla Cellulose, the Aditya Birla Group’s umbrella brand for its range of cellulosic fibres, has partnered with Control Union, an international network of inspection operations and dedicated laboratories on a global level, to focus on ‘Vision Sustainability 2020’.

The brainstorming session on ‘Vision Sustainability 2020’ will be held on 21 February, 2015, at Radisson Blu, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Birla Cellulose is organising the seminar along with Control Union to focus on every part of the textile value chain, where company heads will showcase their contribution to this vision, the company said in a statement.

The event will gather eminent speakers from the industry, who would present on product, process, material and packaging sustainability. It is expected to provide a platform for exchange of best practices on sustainability.

Since the focus of the event is sustainable textile processing, it would be especially benefit textile manufacturers, including people from their senior management, production, technical and R&D departments.

In addition, brands and retailers, buying houses, research institutes and students, dyestuff and chemical manufacturers would also immensely benefit by attending the seminar, according to the organisers.
