Upstream price gains leads to European & US benzene surge

Gain in upstream energy prices in the region led to benzene prices going up in Europe & US in the last week ended Feb 6.
In Europe, average prices expanded by US$ 30/ton or 5.13 per cent and were quoted at US$ 615/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.
In the US also, average prices mounted by 10 cents/gallon and were assessed at 215 cents/gallon last week, up 4.88 per cent as against its previous week.
